Hello from Itamar to our dear friends around the world!

As the 2010 fiscal year is coming to a close the community of Itamar is preparing its 2011 budget and project planning. This year we hope to enhance our youth and cultural programs, strengthen our educational center, beautify our community, upgrade our infrastructure and complete our permanent synagogue.

We want to thank again our dear friends that without their constant love and support we would not be able make this dream of building G-D's Land come true.

Washington State Tour Group Visits Itamar

It was our greatest pleasure to host our dear friends Mark and Vickie Biltz together with their congregation from Washington State.

Actually, people from many other states and even other countries joined this group in their tour of Israel.  One of the highlights for them was their visit to Itamar because of the friendship that has been building with Itamar and the people of their congregation.  More Photos....

We had a great day together visiting Mt Grizim, the mountain of the blessing, and touring our town of Itamar. They planted trees and were addressed by members of the community. They are very special people and truly love the land of Israel.

The Best Way to Bless Itamar

I have traveled to Israel now since 2007, Itamar has become one of my favorite places to be in the Shomron Region. It is amazing to stand in the places where Abraham Joshua and the children of Israel have all walked, camped and built alters. To stand next to Gideon's Tomb or look upon Yosef's tomb in Shechem. There is so much history in this area but it's the people of Itamar that I have met who are the spark of life to this land. They live a quiet life, working the ground, building their businesses, teaching their kids and celebrating with others.

So what is the best way to bless Itamar?

First, the gifts you send directly to Friends of Itamar are a blessing, using Good Search on your computer is a blessing, but when the people of Itamar see your face, and get to share with your about their land in their land, that is the best way you can bless Itamar.

I am continuously asked by the people of Israel, "Tani when are you coming back?" You give us strength to keep going on. Now, it's not me who gives them strength, it's seeing people who truly care come to Israel and share truth about their life.

I travel quite frequently to Israel, so if anyone wants to really bless Itamar, join me on one of my trips! I promise you will never be the same!

My love to all in Itamar! I will see you soon.

The Itamar Story Needs To Be Told

As the administrator of the "Bless Itamar" blog, I am SO blessed. The the more I learn about Itamar, the more I am blown away about how courageous the citizens of Itamar really are. You cannot imagine the incredible stories of this community.

As I go through the archives, I see stories of miracles, middle of the night visits to Joseph's tomb, the land being planted and bearing fruit, heros giving their lives and history being made. This community is amazing and their story NEEDS to get out. I am blessed to be a participant in the telling of this story.

The "Bless Itamar" blog will be archiving the stories about Itamar beginning with our recent 2010 relationship with Itamar (with some exceptions of laying the foundation of the the basic story of Itamar).

You can learn more about the history of Itamar at the Friends of Itamar website - http://www.friendsofitamar.org/news.html

If you take time to dig, you will meet the modern day heros of Israel and you WILL be blessed.

Enter their story and enjoy the journey!

Moshe and Leah Visit Tacoma, WA

Rabbi Moshe Goldsmith and his wife Leah spent Monday evening August 30th in Tacoma, WA USA.  This was their second visit to Washington State in six months.  A very special bond is being formed between people from all over Washington State and the community of Itamar.

Several hundred came out to greet Moshe and Leah and to express their support for Itamar.  Their were many one - on - one conversations, smiles, hugs, questions and expectations for future meetings.   Listen to Moshe and Leah's presentation -  An Evening with Moshe and Leah

Relaxing With Friends

After days of a whirlwind tour through several states, Moshe and Leah were able to relax and spend a few hours enjoying a perfect, sunny afternoon near Gig Harbor, WA.

Moshe & Leah Spread Their Wings

Moshe and Leah arrived in Odessa, Texas on Monday. They are spreading their wings and reaching out to share the message of Itamar, Israel.

Today we were interviewed on "Light of the Southwest" TV show on God's Learning Channel. Thousands will meet the real face of pioneers who live in the Shomron Region, also known as Samaria. The heart of the people shall be declared!

We are thankful to Tommie, Al and Jeff Cooper as well as all the staff at God's Learning Channel for having us as part of their program! May Hashem Bless them abundantly for standing with Israel.

Off to New Mexico....The wings keep spreading!

Bless Itamar is getting there!

I am so excited that our Bless Itamar project is getting tremendous support from all who hear about it. I have several requests from folks who want to be notified when the blog is up and running.

I am also pleased to report that we received the thumbs up from Moshe Goldsmith! His contributions will be invaluable.

There are lots of housekeeping jobs to be done and then we will be ready for content. Target launch date will be August 30th when Moshe and Leah visit the Northwest.

Shalom to all!
